Weaving between the frame

The weaving is simple. The cricket ball offcuts will be woven in long chains and linked around the outer and inner circular frames. It will simply be tied at each end and tightened so there is no sag around the sides. The seat will be a separate woven piece and to create sag fro the seat, it will be woven into a net. This method is the easiest, and requires no threads, screws or adheasives.

GUIDELINES FOR DESIGN

MULTI-PURPOSE SEATS
Multi-purpose seats are intended for a variety of uses: in dining rooms, bedrooms, work areas, and as spare chairs. They are also used in public spaces such as waiting rooms, conference centres and libraries, where they often have to be stacked for storage. General requirements for seats can be applied to multipurpose chairs. However, such chairs will not usually be maximally comfortable in all situations and compromises will often have to be made. It is difficult to design a seat that is comfortable both for a forward-inclined posture (a dining table) and a backward leaning posture (listening to a talk). Taller and shorter users may be particularly uncomfortable with certain chairs.
Recommendations:
  • The seat and backrest should be upholstered with a gently-rounded lumbar support.
  • The seat surface should be gently moulded with slight concavity under the buttocks.
  • The depth of the seat should not exceed 430mm in order that the backrest is effective for smaller users.
  • The height of a flat seat surface should be 400–460mm.
  • The material for the seat cover should allow for air circulation and not be slippery.

Anthropemetrics

At this stage I am trying to get the scale of my design in correct proportions keeping in mind the narrow strips outside the shops long cengter place.

Cricket Ball Offcuts

Made up of four pieces of leather which are shaped like a peel of a quartered orange. The pieces of leather are bound together with a sewn seam which is slightly raised. The core of a cricket ball is made from cork with layers of tightly wound string around it. For men's cricket, the ball must weigh between 155.9 and 163.0 g and measure between 224 and 229 mm in circumference.

Cork inside a cricket is an elastic material and helps the cricket balls to bounce as much as they do. This cork is not actually put in a bulky manner inside a cricket ball, but they are cut into small pieces and tightly wounded by strings to keep them together. And then a four piece leather support is applied from the top, which is also sealed with strings but this time, some fixing glues are also applied to keep them intact, which ultimately results in giving a razor sharp edges to the cricket balls.

Corrugated Teflon Hose

Corrugated, Convoluted PTFE hose is processed from the smooth PTFE hose, and is more flexible in bending, so as to replace low mechanical strength pipes made by graphite, ceramic and glass.

Hoses come standard with thermal insulation and are available with a tough, extruded polyurethane jacket for outdoor service or an abrasion resistant, braided polyester sleeve for indoor use:

Generally unaffected by all chemicals (except melted alkaline metals) used in laundry, rubber, chemical refrigeration industries and for vacuum.
